A Day With Uncle John/Daddy and Coming Home

Our last day in Utah was filled with lots of shopping! Well at least for Lindsey, Easton, and my mom and I. John was supposed to take the kids to Walmart to load up for our trip home early the next morning, but instead they had quite the adventure. They stayed out all day having tons of fun. They first went down to Prove, drove around a bit, and found themselves at the BYU Creamery to enjoy a great lunch of delicious ice cream. As you can see, they were not disappointed one bit. We love you daddy/ Uncle John!!
After ice cream and loading up on some caffeine free Mountain Dews (got to stock up!), they went over to the Bean Life Science Museum. We love this place and it keeps the kids entertained for quite a while. After the museum, they went over to Walmart, walked around the whole store and got to play with lots of toys. Once they were done with Walmart, they fueled up and were back home playing with Grandpa and waiting for us. We were much later than expected, but hit tons of stores. It was a fabulous time shopping like we used to! Thank you John for taking on the challenge of taking the kids out! You definitely win Uncle/Daddy/ Husband of the year award!

Sadly, our week of fun was over and it was time to head home. The drive was mostly uneventful making it back in great time. The one thing that wasn't so great was noticing, as we were leaving at 3 am, a small crack at the bottom of the passenger side of the front windshield. Great. Thanks Utah road construction! As the day went on, the crack got larger and other cracks started to form. By the time we got home, it was almost all the way up the windshield. The car was only a year old, and it was already time for a new windshield! How fun is that! So, later that week, the guy came to our home and replaced our windshield. Brody LOVED watching him, as he does all handymen that come over, and brought out his own tools to help. The guy was super nice, though, and when he took out the windshield, holding it in the air, he said to the kids, "Look! I am the Hulk!" How fun! I felt bad for him, though, because it took twice as long to get the job done. He had to drive up to LA to get the right windshield and then came back only to realize it was the wrong one and had to go to Anaheim to get the right one. Thanks to him, we are the proud owners to an expensive new windshield!

Our week was really so much fun. Thank you Mom and Dad! Can't wait until Christmas when we will be back up again!
