Great Friends

This is Avery. She is Brody's best girl friend. She lives a few houses down from him. They were in the same Sunbeam class last year, but devastatingly, they are not this year. Brody has done swimming lessons with her since the kids were two. Their daddies work at the same office and at cubicles across from each other. Their mommies are fast friends and partners in Activity Days together. And, almost every day, they like to ride their bikes on the street together.Everyday he will ask me if he can go see if Avery can come out to play and often runs over to knock on the door. He LOVES to hang out with her, as does Piper, who is usually tagging along for the ride. We joke that they have crushes on each other, but that might not be far from the truth. She is just the same too. She loves to ask her mommy if we are home and she loves to come ringing our doorbell in the late afternoon if we are not out yet with the other kids. They love to sit next to each other at church (we have done it a few times) and often walk, holding hands, to Primary (along with Piper, though, of course).

We just love Brody's face in this one. Like, "hey, look who I am sitting next to" with a big smile on this face.

John and I wonder if we are going to look back on these pictures someday and say, "And this is where it all began. . . " Right now though, it is all pretty innocent and cute. :)
