Krispy Kreme Tour

For March, Brody's class went on a field trip to see how donuts are made at Krispy Kreme. Piper and I went and helped drive some of the kids over. The kids were so excited, but probably because they knew they were going to get a donut out of it. Here we are lined up before our tour started. These are some of Brody's friends, Christian, Caitlyn, Julia, Caitlyn's little brother Cody, Brody, and Jack. Here is the group shot of all of them.
Learning how the dough moves through the machine. It is pretty fascinating to watch it all. It is like watching the show Unwrapped or any other program that shows you how things are made. Love those shows!
Then they gave the kids a chunk of their own piece of dough to play around with, but not to eat of course.Brody was very excited to try it out.Piper wasn't sure what she thought of it.Some of the little ones waiting in the back of the line, Scotty, Mia, and Piper, oh and of course baby Tauee. :)Going through the fryer. There were a few causalities we witnessed. And then through the wall of icing before they were ready for packaging and to be eaten. They gave the kids (and the adults) all donuts to enjoy. Brody sat long enough to take this picture before he couldn't wait any longer to dig in. Man, there is something about those freshly cooked hot donuts that is still amazing. It's been a long time since I've enjoyed a Krispy Kreme. They also gave them a sample of their new mini donuts. Chocolate with sprinkles are always fun!Brody's friend Drew. This ones for you Kim!Piper was very quiet as she ate. I think she savored every bite. After Krispy Kreme, we took the kids to the nearby park to get all the sugar out of them before going home. The kids had so much fun! Piper and I are just happy that we can tag along for all the fun adventures that Brody and his preschool gets to do. A few more to come!
