The Little Things

We didn't really do many big things with the kids on our Utah trip. It was just fun being able to have all the grandchildren there together and letting them play. Here are just a few fun pictures I had of the kids during our stay.

Grandpa and Brody hiked up the hill (not the snowy mountain) behind their house one day. It is a pretty good little hike that can be kind of steep at parts. I was surprised Brody made it to the top. Great job Brody (and Grandpa)!
Here they are coming down. Brody raced down once he got towards the end.
So proud of himself and so happy to see Mommy.Piper and I watched from the warm house. And showed off her blue tongue from the sucker she had found and snuck.Happy girl! These three loved coloring and making pictures.Brody had a great time making Easton laugh. These two cracked me up. Easton's almost two now and it was fun to see him old enough to interact with Brody. Here Brody was letting Easton push him down. And were cracking up over it.Then they were full-on wrestling. I love how Easton is trying to head butt Brody to take him down. Brody wasn't too rough and mostly letting him win, which was good. Man, they are such boys!
Other highlights from out trip:

- Lee and Aneta came by for a visit. John's cousin Lolly was getting married the same day as my cousin Brandon, so they were in town for that and visiting all the family in Alpine. The kids were very excited to see Grandma and Grandpa Brown, but I think they were very confused as to what was going on. "Grandma and Grandpa Brown at Grandma and Grandpa Pitta's house?" It was like two of their worlds were colliding. Brody was very excited to show Grandpa Brown the big 4 wheeler he got to ride. Piper was shy all around (not surprising). It was a great visit. Thanks for coming by Lee and Aneta!

-My car battery died (probably more of a lowlight). A light in the car was left on after we got back from the wedding and unloaded the car (my fault). We didn't realized it was dead until we all piled in the car for church the next morning, already late. My parents were gone saving us seats, so they couldn't help us. Luckily, a neighbor was just leaving in her van, so she let us jump in with her. Surprisingly, there was enough seats for us all, minus the little two on our laps. We were so thankful for that neighbor!

- My parents, my sister, and I all went to the Mt. Timpanogos Temple. A friend of my sister's watched the kids for us. The kids had a great time as did we. It was the first time we had all gone, just the four of us. It was wonderful!

We had such a fun time just hanging around and visiting this trip. We headed back that following Thursday, but didn't end up leaving until almost 6 AM again. Not surprisingly, we had to stop a few more times then just the once on the way there and I think we were all pretty tired of the car. We made it back to our house and were so happy to see John. Lindsey and the kids stayed the night with us and then left the next morning.
