After John was busy with work all summer, he finally got a break and we took a wonderfully relaxing vacation to see my parents in Utah. We didn't really plan anything and just went with the flow and it was perfect. We spent a lot of evenings outside enjoying the cooler nights and admiring the surroundings. On Sunday evening, we walked over to the neighbors house to look at their chickens. They have about 8 or 9 chickens in their coup and all different types. The kids were a bit skittish at first, but still loved watching them.
The kids practiced soccer with Daddy.
And were a bit silly with some toy necklaces.
They had some beautiful sunsets there and Piper was very excited about the pink and purple sky.
We all took many trips on the 4-wheeler through the streets and off-road. Piper played it safe on her trips out, but we heard that Brody loved taking control of the gas himself, which made John and I both very nervous (Grandpa!).
Much more fun to come as we spent the whole week playing!
