Kings vs. Capitals Game

The day after New Years Day, we went with John's brother, Tyler, and his wife, Kristi, to the Kings game at the Staples Center. Lee and Aneta watched ALL 5 kids while we were gone (4 little boys 5 and under and Piper). Thank you so much for taking them and hope to never do that to you again! :( We had a lot of fun, though, and it was great to be out on a date. The Kings played the Capitals, one of the best teams in the NHL, and won! It was a great game. We also had fantastic seats just 3 rows from up and close to center ice.

Us enjoying our time away from kids.
Posing in front of the ice.Tyler and Kristi.
Here is some of the action.
Alex Ovechkin, the best player in the league.
Anze Kopitar, John's man crush.Jack Johnson, Tyler's man crush, hanging out in the penalty box. He also played on USA's Olympic Hockey team that just won the Silver medal at the Vancouver games.Another action shot. Probably the best part of the whole game was when a puck came flying in the air, hitting John's fingers and my hand. It happened so fast that I really didn't know what hit me. John was more bummed that he didn't catch it. Apparently, we made it on TV too when they panned to see who caught it. I had quite the bruise after.Celebrating their win after a great game.Jonathan Quick being interviewed after the game for being the first star of the game (kind of like the MVP).After the game was the Celebrity charity hockey game. We stayed mostly for me so I could see who was playing. Just a bunch of Hollywood B and C listers, but still fun to watch. Here is Jim Fox, former Kings player and Kings announcer, front and center warming up. Then to the far right is Chad Lowe and to the left is Cuba Gooding Jr.More Cuba as he joins his team and is announced to the crowd.Proof that it was him. A face shot of Michael Vartan, from Alias and Never Been Kissed, in the background. I love him! He is huge hockey fan.A back shot of him warming up on the ice.Vartan, Lowe, and David Boreanaz, from Angel and Bones, warming up.And finally Luc Robitaille also played. He was one of the all-time greatest Kings. A shot of him and his team.I love going to hockey games, or most sporting events for that matter. It was a great time and can't wait to do it again.

That looks like a fun night. I like Michael Vartan too. I need to talk to Bryan about taking me out, without the boys.

Can you please print out and frame that picture of Jack Johnson for me?
