Utah Spring Break

The kids and I drove up to Utah for our Spring Break last year.  Here are some of the highlights from our trip visiting Grandma and Grandpa Pitta.  We went up to Provo canyon one day and road and walked the trail, and enjoyed the scenery, waterfalls at Bridal Veil, and the beautiful weather.
The water was freezing.
That didn't stop Brody, though.

We tried not to fall in and get too wet.

Brody hanging out on a rock at the bottom of Bridal Veil.
Piper enjoying some Grandma and Grandpa time on our walk back.
Then we went further up in the canyon to relax and enjoy the views.  The snowtop mountains were beautiful.
We played some soccer, explored the creek, ate, and hung out.
Can't believe I took this with just my phone.  It looks too professional.
The backside of the Timpanogos Mountain.
Some more views and another waterfall on our drive back down Provo Canyon.
Another day, we went to Dear Valley in Park City and rode the funicular at the St. Regis, walked the grounds, and enjoyed the views.  Brody had a great time on the ride up.
Piper, not so much.

Hanging out on this crazy chair in the hotel lobby.
Back down we go.
This time she was so much happier.

Then we walked Main Street in Park City.
We rode the trolley up and had lots of fun.

Before heading to lunch at the Red Rock Brewery, we stopped to show the kids the site for the ski jumping event at the Olympics.  It was the one event I got to see while living here through the 2002 Salt Lake Olympics.  The kids didn't seem to be as excited as I was telling them about it.

Another day, we spent some time visiting my friend Karina and her kids.  Sad we didn't get any pictures, but we had so much fun catching up together.  We took the kids over to her little park next to her house near the Riverwoods in Provo.  With all the rains, one slide was filled with water and, unbeknownst to us and Brody, he slide down right into a huge pool of water.  That cut the park trip short and we had to head back to change.  Still, a fun time and so glad for great friends!
